Downloading vrml2pov version 0.7
Please read the main vrml2pov information page
if you have not already done so.
Here are the links you can use to download various versions of the vrml2pov
binary and source code distributions. If you are only interested in the compiled
program, you will probably also want to look at the README
file that describes how to use the program. Downloading any of these archives
constitutes agreement to abide by the legal terms of the
distribution.
- vrml2pov-PC.zip - the PC
executable, zipped. Windows users please note that this program must be run
from a command prompt, as it requires command line arguments.
- vrml2pov-src.zip - the source
code, zipped (on some UNIX systems, may need to use 'unzip -aa' to convert
to UNIX line endings)
I can't make any guarantees about how portable this source code is, but as there
are no non-standard libraries or anything required, it should compile on just
about anything. It compiles fine using MSVC++ and GNU C++. The source code distribution includes
the MSVC++ projects, and a basic makefile that you can edit for your
environment. If you have major problems, please let me know so I can
try to provide a fix to others who may be using the same system.
As this is a sort of pre-release for testing, I'm sure there will be problems. If you do find a bug, please send me mail describing the problem
in as much detail as you can, and it would also be helpful if you attached the
VRML file that you're having trouble with - preferably containing only the
non-functioning section, and not the rest of a large scene file. Please don't
just send me a 20MB VRML file and say "this doesn't work!" since I don't have
time to wade through enormous volumes of data...
